WINTER LANDSCAPES
Our branch pride ourselves with the fact that we run very successful and well attended weekend workshops. In September 2012 we had the pleasure of spending the time with Llinos Spriggs and this time we worked on winter landscapes. With her usual bubbly approach, Llinos encouraged us to start small and to work with only white or cream. We were to imagine a snowy or frosty garden.
All of these were worked in hand stitching of various sorts. By the end of the day, Llinos had spoken to us all about the effects which could be achieved by layering up sheers. Early on Sunday, the sewing machines were racing away - but some of us stuck with hand stitching. A most enjoyable weekend and we are all waiting in great anticipation of our next weekend this September with Angie Hughes.
